David Skinns

BACKGROUND David Skinns was born in Lincoln, England. Skinns turned professional in 2006 after an outstanding collegiate career at the University of Tennessee where he was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year and a part of Europe’s winning 2003 Palmer Cup team. The father-of-two was poised for success in the professional ranks after racking up the accolades during his tenure in Knoxville.

PLAYING CAREER His impressive rookie season of 2012 was one that helped kickstart his career. Playing in eight events, he recorded three top-25s and ended his season No. 125 on the money list. Golf has been literally ingrained into the Skinns family, including his performance at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco. T9 heading into the weekend, he received a call that his wife was in labor. Leaving the tournament to rush to her side, his son Bennett was born in Boise, Idaho.

PINNACLE BANK CHAMPIONSHIP His 2018 Pinnacle Bank Championship performance was one that put his name on the map. After Skinns birdied the 72nd hole, he sealed his victory and took home the $108,000 first place prize. Moving up from No. 132 with this notable win, he earned the right to call himself No. 33 on the money list. This win arrived during his 65th career start, and his first of the Korn Ferry Tour.
