Committee Descriptions

Access Control: Responsible for checking credentials as guests enter hospitality areas, the Clubhouse and handling wristband station.

Admissions: Sell and issue daily tickets, manage Will Call, scan tickets at the main entrance gates.

Central Scoring: Volunteers are responsible for verifying all Walking Scorers on course are reporting scores, supplying help to the scorers if there are questions or issues pertaining to their system or group.

Check-In/Out: Make sure that volunteers sign-in/ and get to their chair persons to report for work.

Gala Event: Assist with Pairings Party where sponsors find out which golfers they will play with at the Pro-Am. Duties include greeting, registration and tear-down.

Marshals: Assigned to certain holes, crosswalks or other high traffic areas to help with crowd noise and congestion. Must be able to walk to your hole. If you have a group of family, friends or co-workers interested in volunteering together, this is the committee for you!

On-Course: Set-up/tear down of the tournament which includes all signage, electrical, water (tee boxes, driving range, putting and chipping areas), trash (during tournament), fence, rope and stake, carts, meshing, etc.

Parking: Regulate traffic around Clubhouse including the designated parking spaces for sponsors, vendors, media as well as PGA TOUR players and officials.

Player Shuttles: Transport Korn Ferry Tour professionals from the green to the tee. Must feel comfortable driving a golf cart around crowds.

Pro-Am:  Duties include planning and execution of Pro-Ams and Pro-Am, distribution of Pro-Am gift packs, execute the tournament Pro-Ams on Monday and Wednesday, including marshaling, player check-in and assisting on the driving range. Some areas of this are considered a “physical” position, and you must be 21 or older.

Product Distribution: Responsible for distributing ice and beverages to all Hospitality Areas, Concession Stands, Player Dining and Volunteer Headquarters. Must be 21 or older.

Special Events:  Committee handles Youth Day activities, which includes the Youth Clinic and Autograph Session, as well as other fun events during the week.

Standard Bearers: Carry a standard that has players names and is responsible for changing the players score as needed throughout play. This is considered a “physical” position, as you will carry a sign for an entire round of golf (approximately 5 hours). We recommend that you should be in good physical health when volunteering as a standard bearer.

Start/Finishing Tents: Starting Tent Volunteers distribute caddy bibs, maintain snack and refreshments and also assist in crowd control; Finishing Tent personnel assist in verifying the players scorecards.

Tear-down: Tear-down of the tournament which includes all signage, trash, fence, rope and stake, carts, meshing, etc. Occurs July 23-27.

Transportation: Amenity for players all of tournament week, and responsible for picking up/driving the Korn Ferry Tour players to and from the airport, hotel, Indian Creek and guest housing residents.

Walking Scorers:  Walking Scorer must be available to work an entire round and walk an entire 18 holes carrying a Samsung G5 hand-held device & wearing a voice radio with his/her assigned pairings. A thorough knowledge of golf is necessary for this position as scoring includes recording statistics on the data device. Must be 18 years of age.
